Summer at Last!

We are in the midsts of amazing summer weather, so hot that we are behaving as if we live abroad; watering the veg plot before breakfast and sitting in the shade on the swinging seat in the garden in the heat of the day. We're so thrilled for our guests that they wake up to sun and the prospect of another day in the surf. We have just come home after taking Squires' fish and chips down Saunton Beach, eating with our fingers and basking in the late hot sunshine. The kids went in the water, and then we watched the sunset, it really doesn't get any better than this, but it's good to remind yourself!
